It's main raw material is silky cloth,so it's very lovely, and different from others handcrafts. I hope to look for the agent or partner to open the new market in your country which is only to sell the material and free of charge to teach the weave method. The customer can designe they shape of the flowers and leaves as they like and weave them themselves. A. Wax is hydrophobic = it won't absorb water or allow water to cross a waxy surface. It can also be made from the chemicals that are commonly found in living organisms, i.e. ceramics are waterproof too, but are not products of biosynthesis. It is manipulable at the temperatures at which life exists.

How can I start an insurane business as an independent agent.?
Q. I have a P & C agent Licence. I would like to open a business that sells auto insurance policies from various insurance companies. I already have a tax business and a good clientelle. How can I start and combine the tax and Insurance business. What are the requirements apart from the capital.
Asked by DAUGHTER OF ZION - Tue Sep 11 03:20:22 2007 - Small Business - 1 Answers - Comments

A. You have to get the insurance companies to sign you up. You're not worth the bother unless you have a lot of business already. "Captive" insurance companies are wiling to develop an agent, because he's "locked in", and cannot sell insurance for another insurer. Independents are not. You need to buy yourself into the business. In some cases, you can find a large P&C agency that will sell you some customers. Maybe they have 8 companies they sell for, and they will sell you all the customers for 1 company. Or you can find an agent that wants to retire, and buy him out completely. Another alternative is to affiliate with an independent agent for a while. You sell P&C to his L&H customers, and sell P&C to… [cont.]

Would a degree in business management be appropriate for a career as a sports agent?
Q. I am a senior in high school and am looking to eventually go to law school and hopefully become a sports agent. Obviously I need to find the right major to choose first. I would like to go to a college that offers sports management, but the 3 universities I have my heart set on do not offer that, but the all 3 offer business management, would that be a wise choice in majors if I eventually want to become a sports agent?

A. I will give you the same advice my son is now following. Get the best possible business degree you can get then enroll in the United States Sports Academy for your masters in sports management and then do the JD. Many big time football players and other sports figures have earned their degree completely online from this globally recognized and accredited school. They are on the cutting edge for sports management programs and place people all over the country in leadership roles.

How can Democrats claim to be for the economy, when they support policies that are anti-business?
Q. Businesses and corporations are what make our economy. What's the point of being anti-business and supporting increased taxes on businesses, when ALL Americans have to either buy stuff from businesses or work in businesses. I bet you most Democrats are part of the private sector and buy all of the latest goods from our private market and yet still support raising taxes on corporations, which the consumers will ultimately pay for anyway, since businesses will simply integrate the added costs of taxation unto the sale price.

A. There are a lot of industries that can use smart people, but most of them would not let you use your Ph D. An MBA might help, but you might want to talk to some adventure capitalists active in your field. (Check who has invested in some of the companies active in your industry). They would be looking for the combination of industry knowledge and business sense.

Where does the registered agent forward mail to if the business is closed?
Q. I want to sue an LLC in Nevada (for negligence) that has closed, but I found the registered agent. If the business is closed, does this mean the registered agent forwards mail to the former owner's home, or where does mail go?
Asked by HoldYourColor - Fri Jul 8 13:05:39 2011 - Law & Ethics - 2 Answers - Comments

A. If the mail is just sent regular mail, the registered agent can receive it as mail and ignore it, trash it, forward it, whatever. If the mail is sent certified mail, the registered agent has to either sign for it or refuse it. In either case, unless the registered agent was a partner in the LLC, they are under no obligation to help you deliver your mail. - Stuart

What degree should I pursue if I want to be an Agent or Business Manager of Artists and Performers?
Q. I am currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration and I am going to be transferring to a four year college where I will obtain my B.A. I was wondering if this is the right degree if I want to be an agent or business manager of actors or performers. It sounds kind of juvenile, but I want to have Ari Gold's job off the show Entourage. Any response is greatly appreciated.

A. A degree that combines courses from business management, law & media studies is the perfect combination to work as a talent agent. Since you're already doing a business degree, opt for a specialization in marketing and enhance it with law courses (specially those dealing with media contracts). My brother works as a booking agent in Indianapolis where the requirement for trained agents seems to be quite high.

How does one become an Independent Agent if the life insurance and annuity business?
Q. Meaning, If you are first starting out in the insurance business(no history), how do you get the commission level of the independent agents? Do you just have to sell a certain amount of insurance or annuities, like 1 million worth, then you are pushed to the independent agent status, or is it that you have to have umpteen years of experience selling a certian amount of insurance before they would consider you for the indepedent agent status. Also, I heard that there were these companies, like FSD Financial Services, they let normal agents sign up and I guess if you go throught them (which seems like a middle man between them and the actual insurance companies) you can get the independent agent status and commission levels right away. Its… [cont.]

A. In order to sell life insurance, you would need a life license. In order to sell annuities, you would need a life license and a securities license. I'm not sure how the commission structure work for all insurance companies, but I believe you do need to put in a certain amount of premiums in a month in order to upgrade your sales level. Well, that's what I was told when I was interviewed by several insurance and financial companies. When a company markets other companies products, this is called an agreement. Let's say you work for company ABC and they have an agreement with XYZ to sell XYZ's annuity products. If you sell XYZ's products, XYZ will pay ABC a certain amount of commissions and then ABC will pay you for selling it.

Q. I am very interested in being a travel agent. I am looking for any advice on what to do & what not to do along the way. Do you have to be a certified travel agent? Asked by D - Wed Jun 30 15:10:28 2010 - Small Business - 2 Answers - Comments

A. I know someone who owned a travel agency, and another person who is a long-time career agent. It is really not a good business to get into now. Travel agencies make very little money, and most people use the internet now. Tour guide might be a better option, or an agency that specializes in a specific segment of trave - adventure, single seniors, Middle East, etc. The agent I know had their company bought out and they now only do corporate travel, and it's basically phone work from a cubicle. A company that hires a new agent will likely require a non-compete contract forbidding you from opening your own business for 2-3 years AFTER leaving their employement. Before you sink your time and money into pursuing this as a career, do lots and… [cont.]
