Do all men like brazilian waxes on girls? Do they mind the time between when the hair needs to grow back?
Q. Just curious. I'm a body hair nazi and I pluck any microscopic hair that appears between appointments until it needs to grow back to get waxed. Am I just too crazy about it? Do guys care that much if there are a few short hairs down there?

What Wisconsin Dells salon gives good waxes?
Q. I'm toying with the idea of waxing my stomach and maybe my bikini area, but I have really sensitive skin so I'm looking for a salon which does a good job. Oh, and if anyone knows if The Great Wolf Lodge salon does waxes and their quality that would be helpful, because thats the one I'm considering. Thanks!

A. i can definitely relate to this problem. i tried using aveeno shaving cream, but would still have bumps and pain from shaving. about 6 months ago i found a shaving cream that really works for me. it's called "Jason 6- IN - 1 All Natural Shaving Lotion"", and it comes in a blue pump-top bottle. i got mine at whole foods, but you could order it from the internet as well. it doesn't have all the chemicals that many creams do, so it doesn't irritate sensitive skin. it also has aloe vera and jojoba beads to help moisturize your skin. additionally, try to make sure you really soak in the tub before you shave, as it softens the hair and reduces friction between the razor and your skin. and change your razor as soon as you notice it getting… [cont.]

A. it sounds like this is your first time...it's as simple as this, just tell the lady what you want taken off, even if its everything she can still wax off all the hair down there (that is for the brazilian)!! that includes your whole front, between the legs, around your butt crack and your butt cheeks. some people dont automatically wax the butt cheeks so you may have to ask to get that done as well. just make sure you tell her what you do and dont want taken off. i have been waxing most of my body, including the butt and brazilian, and have noticed that the hairs come back shorter, finer, more sparse, and take longer to grow out with each waxing session...these waxings i have been doing for a little over a year and have noticed a… [cont.]

How are waxes made and what function do they serve?
Q. I have a test coming up and I need to know how/what structures make waxes (as they relate to biology). I don't know the answer but I would guess sebaceous glands???
Asked by hsoxel - Mon Oct 5 18:22:02 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Waxes are lipids to which long chain hydrocarbons or alcohols are attached; there are a lot of groups that can be attached to make different kinds of waxes. Biologically, waxes are usually found as cleaners (like the wax formed in your ears) or to prevent water loss (like the waxy cuticle formed on the surface of many leaves). Sebaceous glands produce oils.

How much do they actually wax in brazillian waxes?
Q. I have never gotten a Brazilian wax and i think its time, i get ingrown hairs when i shave and im tired of it! But since ive been shaving i feel like i have a lot of hair growing on my labia and down there... how much/where do they actually get to to wax off?
Asked by psych_minded - Mon Mar 31 16:14:46 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. As much as you want taken off... Waxes "down there" come in 4 categories. Bathing suit/bikini wax--you bring your suit and your waxer makes sure you are hair free everywhere that shows. Traditional Brazillian--basically takes off everything a thong would show. The "Playboy"--is a traditional Brazillian, but also cleans up the labia and the entire backside, not just what would show if you were standing. Called this because this is the wax/shaving style most commonly seen in gentlemen's mags. The "Kojak"--I hope this one is self explanatory. You have to get into some pretty interesting and if you embarrass easy, embarrassing positions. And yes, I'm sorry, it does hurt. Get a waxer with plenty of experience, preferably one that uses… [cont.]

Any ladies out there get Brazilian waxes?
Q. I am interested in getting my first Brazilian wax. I currently shave and am completely bare- and I'm getting tired of it. I've looked up a lot of information about how the wax is actually performed. My question is, what do you do between waxes? Do you shave to keep it up? Pluck? Or just simply let it grow until it is long enough to get waxed again?
Asked by Claire - Tue Oct 28 11:13:03 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Hi---I have been getting a wax for 8 years now. I am 28 and will never shave there again. I wax about every 6 to 8 weeks. By that time the hair us about 1/8 inch. I have really sparse hair there now. The more you wax the finer it returns and less dense. My boyfriend just loves it. Good luck. Jimmie Go to these web pages where I buy my lingerie. They have some tips on waxing.

What's the difference between polymer waxes and carnauba waxes?
Q. I believe these are the two major types of waxes on the market. Which one would you say is a better choice and why? Also, is it possible to have a wax that is both a polymer and carnauba wax. I believe my Eagle One NanoWax is just that.
Asked by Gregory D - Sun Oct 4 16:27:48 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. polymer = sealant= man made carnuaba = wax= naturally made sealants tend to last longer while carnuabas tend to give a better shine a lot of people first use a sealant then top it with a wax so, possible to have them combined, no possible to have the characteristics of them combined, thats up to opinion

What is a good way to remove pesticides and other chemicals and waxes, etc. off of fruit and vegetables?
Q. I understand that you can use greatly diluted mild vegetable-based soaps such as Dr. Bronner's soap, but that isn't available here. I do have access to a wide variety of chemicals however. i *seriously doubt* cold water would do it, since pesticides and waxes are designed to not wash off when the plants are watered or it rains...see the problem? i want to use some kind of soap or something that will dissolve the chemicals...and you can't scrub something like broccolli or artichokes...
